You’ve finished your manuscript – what’s next?

Many writers make the mistake of sending their work off to Agents and Publishers before it is ready.

To give your work the best possible chance in a highly competitive market, you need to ensure that it looks as professional as it can be and that readers will want to know about it.

Here’s where Brilliant Fish can help!  We work with writers through all stages of the publishing process and have developed a range of specifically designed support packages.

Our aim at Brilliant Fish is to use our expertise to provide excellent support for writers entering the world of publication.  We are all about jargon-free, professional, warm  and brilliant key message communication.

Please visit our Writers page for more details and call Liz on 01202 747136 to discuss how we can create a bespoke package ideal for your individual needs.

SMART Marketing for your not-for-profit organisation

We are very proud to announce the launch of a new e-book, which Liz has co-authored, called “SMART Marketing for your not-for-profit organisation” !  The official launch will take place tonight at Hotel Miramar in Bournemouth with invited guests from local charities, community groups and support organisations.

Written with Dianne Edgar from I-Marketing Services Ltd, the e-book is formatted in an easy-to-read style, offering 52 top tips for better marketing communications.  It is the third in the SMART Marketing series that Dianne has written and she approached Brilliant Fish for help with the not-for-profit aspect of the book, drawing on our experience in the sector.

For Liz, it is the fulfilment of an early dream!  ”When I had my very first thoughts about starting up in business, I wanted to write a marketing pack that charities could buy at a reasonable cost and that would be written in their language” she says.  ”This is the book!”.

Available to buy at £7.99 from www.lulu.com

Bandstand Marathon – no running involved!

From what started last June as Liz providing PR support to Taunton-based not-for-profit arts organisation, Superact, for their project called Bandstand Marathon, an ongoing relationship has developed with Liz being awarded a 3 day a week contract to support the whole organisation with PR and Communications.

Bandstand Marathon brings live music performance to bandstands and outdoor performance spaces across the UK- all at the same time on the same day, this year on 9th September 2012.  The aim this year is for 500 events and the project is now the largest closing event of the London 2012 Festival.

Launch of the Bandstand Marathon 2012

Liz is proud to have co-ordinated the national launch of the project by Eric Pickles, Secretary of State for Local Communities and Government in Colchester on Good Friday this year.  She continues to raise the profile of the event at national level and even managed to get a mention on the Radio 2′s Chris Evans Breakfast Show!

In addition to the Bandstand Marathon, other Superact projects use creativity to improve the health and wellbeing of people from a wide variety of backgrounds and abilities. They use artists and musicians, both amateur & professional, to deliver highly successful projects in the healthcare, education and criminal justice systems.

Liz manages the social media accounts and websites for Superact in addition to issuing Press Releases, liaison with local and national media on all projects and represents Superact with UK and European partners.
